Hop on the M&Ms (Licensed Product) Train
Starting at the end of June, the M&M’s Brand Summer Pallet Train rolled into more than 2,700 Walmart stores across the country. Mars Retail Group engineered the idea for the 16-foot double-sided pallet display, along with the Mars Walmart sales team and licensees SRI and CandyRific. In addition to featuring M&M’s Brand Chocolate Candies, the display included plush, totes, T-shirts, tumblers with straws, dispensers, key chains, fleece blankets, and candy novelties. As items are sold, Walmart is able to add candy or even reduce the pallets so the display remained colorful and attractive. The M&M’s Brand 2011 Summer Pallet Train is the result of a year of planning and teamwork, and sales exceeded expectations, according to Mars Retail Group.
