Wham-O at the Superpowered Social at Comic Con
Wham-O sent us these photos from the Superpowered Social, which took place outside Comic Con in San Diego on July 22. Wham-O helped sponsor the Superpowered Social in collaboration with ICM and Motorola. Located at Embarcadero Park South, partygoers enjoyed the sun and were reacquainted with their favorite Wham-O toys.
Attendees were in awe of the elaborate tricks displayed by two professional Frisbee freestyle players. A Hula Hoop performer was also twirling around the park. Other brands such as POM, Crave Online, Kanon Vodka, and Atari also teamed up with custom hats, drinks, and giveaways to help make the event an unforgettable experience.

Disney Celebrates D23 with Fans
D23 is the first official community for fans in Disney’s 88-year history. It offers fans a quarterly publication Disney twenty-three; a website at www.Disney.com/D23; a collectibles line, the Walt Disney Archives Collection; and special events for D23 members throughout the year, highlighted by the D23 Expo in Anaheim, Calif., which just took place August 19–21.
The name D23 pays homage to the year 1923 when Walt Disney opened his fledgling studio in Hollywood. Here is an assortment of pictures from this year’s D23.
Disney Store kicked off the D23 Expo with an opening ceremony at its 1,500 square-foot pop-up store. Joined by Mickey Mouse and Disney Store president Jim Fielding, a D23 Expo guest turned the magical oversized key allowing all guests to come inside and get their first look at Disney Store’s 25th anniversary product assortment. Since the opening of the first store in Glendale, Calif., on March 28, 1987, Disney Store has become a global retail phenomenon with stores in eight countries and foot traffic of more than 200 million guests per year.
Disney Store and celebrity designer Kidada Jones revealed the newest Disney Store for Kidada Wish-a-Littles—Alice, Ariel, Jasmine, and Tinker Bell—at the D23 Expo in Anaheim, Calif. Available at select Disney Store locations and at DisneyStore.com, the Wish-A-Little figurines are Kidada’s whimsical take on the Disney characters and enclose unique charm necklaces inspired by their stories.
Constantine Maroulis, star of Rock of Ages and former contestant on American Idol, jams on stage with Rock Star Mickey to promote the interactive plush from Fisher-Price and Disney.
