CES 2015 Plans FamilyTech Summit

Taking into account recent statistics that show families with children are more likely to purchase wearable tech and twice as likely to purchase a 3-D printer in the next year than non-parents, the 2015 International Consumer Electronics Show has planned a special FamilyTech Summit, presented by Living in Digital Times.

The day-long conference event will feature sessions devoted to kids in the morning and families in the afternoon. Attendees will have the opportunity to delve into the tehnology’s impact on the home and learn about new health, beauty, and wearables for the family.

“Families are highly motivated to use technology to make their lives more manageable and to stay connected with each other,” said Robin Raskin, founder and CEO of Living in Digital Times. “This year’s crop of products that combine technologies like Bluetooth, mobile devices, and long-life battery lives are making it easier for families to manage everything from cooking their dinner to monitoring the safety of their home with tech enhanced products.”

On the show floor, attendees will experience smart homes features and appliances such as Whirlpool’s kitchen of the future, Motorola’s remote monitoring systems, Safe’s wearable technology, and Innozen’s O2CHAIR.

MommyTech TV, produced by media personality and technology expert Andrea Smith, will also be in attendance, reporting on CES technology from a women’s point of view.
