Ferraro Named President of Disney Consumer Products

Disney Consumer Products announced that Leslie Ferraro has been named president. A 16-year Disney veteran, Ferraro most recently served as Walt Disney Parks and Resorts’ executive vice-president, global marketing, sales, and travel operations, where she was responsible for leading the marketing and sales teams in developing numerous consumer campaigns worldwide.

As president of Disney Consumer Products, Ferraro will oversee a global operation that delivers products from toys and apparel to books and fine art, through its Licensing, Publishing, and Disney Store businesses. She assumes the role formerly held by Bob Chapek, who became chairman, Walt Disney Parks and Resorts in February. She will report directly to both Robert Iger, chairman and CEO, and Thomas Staggs, COO, The Walt Disney Company.

She joined Disney in 1999 as director of marketing for Theme Parks and Resorts and went on to hold a variety of marketing leadership positions including senior vice-president of global marketing strategy and new business initiatives and vice-president of marketing for Disney regional entertainment. She has also served on the Hong Kong Disneyland board of directors. Prior to joining Disney, she held various senior-level marketing positions at McCann-Erickson, Johnson & Johnson, and SmithKline Beecham.

Cygielman Joins Madame Alexander

Madame Alexander Doll Company and Kahn Lucas announced the appointment of Jamie Cygielman as general manager, Madame Alexander Doll and Dollie & Me.

Cygielman is a toy and apparel industry veteran with more than 25 years of proven success building apparel, toy, beauty, and entertainment brands. She held the roles of senior product manager, marketing director, and vice-president of marketing at Revlon from 1992–1999. She served as vice-president, worldwide marketing for Barbie, at Mattel from 1999–2003. She held the role of senior vice-president of marketing/general manager for HIT Entertainment from 2003–2008. She spent time as the senior vice-president at Madison Square Garden Entertainment, Radio City Rockettes, from 2009–2010. Since 2010 she has been the senior vice-president of marketing for Jones New York, Anne Klein, and One Jeanswear at The Jones Group.

Stebenne Named CEO of Summer Infant; Changes to Board of Directors

Summer Infant, Inc., announced that Robert Stebenne, the company’s president and COO, has been named the company’s new CEO, succeeding Carol Bramson, who has resigned. Bramson will remain on the board of directors. The company also announced that Alan Mustacchi has joined the board of directors and will replace Jason Macari who will resign from the board on August 1, 2015. Dan Almagor was named executive chairman.

Stebenne, a board member since 2007, was appointed president and COO in March 2015. He has 30 years of juvenile product marketing experience, including 20 years in positions of increasing responsibility at Hasbro.

New Hires at C3 Entertainment

Debi Rosenfeld has joined C3 Entertainment, Inc., as manager for licensing, merchandising, and distribution. She brings 25 years of licensing experience and broad accomplishments to her new position. She has worked with major brands and firms including Saban, Garfield, Firefly Brand Management, Mars (M&M’s), Cherokee Group, PolyGram, Goodtimes Entertainment, Hanna Barbara, and Mattel.

Tom Loveman has joined the company as marketing and social media manager. Loveman brings nearly 20 years of media and marketing experience to the position. He has worked on the corporate site for Goodyear while at Malone Advertising. He has produced a variety of short films and corporate videos for which he was awarded three Telly Awards. Loveman has also managed online marketing for post-production sound companies Todd-AO and Soundelux.

Kram Joins WEA

WEA Corp., the artist and label services arm of Warner Music Group (WMG), announced the appointment of Alix Kram to the role of vice-president, global brand licensing. Her responsibilities include overseeing the consumer products and brand licensing strategy for the company, as well as developing retail partnerships and new product lines in collaboration with WMG’s iconic labels and their artists. She joins WEA from theKRAMcollective, a creative product and marketing agency that she founded. Prior to founding theKRAMCollective, Kram spent 11 years with Nickelodeon, most recently as vice-president, lifestyle and retail marketing.
