Jazwares Hires Kilpatrick for JazWings Platform
Jazwares announced the addition of Karen Kilpatrick as vice-president of marketing for JazWings, the company’s online platform that provides creators and inventors an opportunity to launch new brands. Kilpatrick’s hire comes at an opportune time for JazWings. The platform has been live for a little over nine months and is fresh off its first brand success, Panda-a-Panda, which is currently slated to hit shelves in spring 2017. After successfully validating its business concept and receiving feedback in its initial beta phase, JazWings is poised to roll out an updated platform in fall 2016 with an exciting new design and improved user experience.
Kilpatrick will be based in the company’s Sunrise, Fla. headquarters and will focus on accelerating JazWings’ innovation in the toy and entertainment space for creators, inventors, and fans alike. Prior to entering the toy industry, she built and sold several websites in the legal services industry. Kilpatrick is also an independent creator who authored an award-winning children’s book series and has created several other brands.
