Megan Fox Cast in Turtles Movie

Reuters recently reported that actress Megan Fox has been cast as April O’Neil in the new Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles movie, according to filmmaker Michael Bay. Bay directed Fox in two Transformers films.

Bay and Fox had been feuding in the media after she compared him to Hitler in a magazine interview. Fox was then replaced by British model and actress Rosie Huntington-Whiteley for the third Transformers film after making the comment.

Bay then announced the casting move with this statement on his website: “TMNT: we are bringing Megan Fox back into the family.”

Her agent confirmed to Reuters that Fox would play April O’Neil, the crime-fighting turtles’ human friend.

The film is scheduled for release in June 2014.

Schylling Brings Lottie Dolls to the U.S.

London-based Arklu Ltd. announced that Schylling is now the exclusive distributor of Arklu’s Lottie dolls line to specialty toy retailers across the United States.

Lottie is a fashion doll for girls ages 3–9. Arklu says the key point of difference from other fashion dolls is that Lottie’s body is designed with the proportions of a 9-year-old girl. Her dimensions (with the exception of her head) are based upon those devised by leading British scientific academics. Lottie doesn’t wear makeup, jewelry, or high heels and she can stand on her own two feet.

The doll launched in August 2012 and is now sold in 14 countries. The dolls will begin shipping in the U.S. in June.
