Street Flyers Seeks Graphic Designer

Street Flyers LLC, a children’s wheeled sporting goods company based in mid-town Manhattan, seeks a graphic designer. Previous character licensing experience a must-and sporting goods experience is a plus.

The person holding this position will be responsible for creating original artwork using a variety of
sources including licensor style guides and illustrations for bicycles, skateboards, scooters, etc. Must be a creative individual with strong graphic design/art skills. Duties and responsibilities include: develop graphics from concept to final art form; produce printer-ready art work; produce mechanical art packets and send to factories; stay abreast of trends, new techniques, and resources in graphic design; and research new materials and art applications.

Specific skills and qualifications required include: college degree in design or related course of study;
minimum two years experience as a licensed character graphic designer; advanced knowledge of Adobe Illustrator and Adobe Photoshop; ability to clearly present ideas to management; ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-changing environment; strong attention to detail; highly organized and able to meet strict deadlines; and excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Sketchers Entertainment Announces First Series

Superheroes or Supermutants? Whatever you call them, three ordinary teens are changed forever when a freak accident exposes them to a mysterious green compound, endowing them with extraordinary powers in the new comedy-action/adventure series Zevo-3, the first animated children’s series from Skechers Entertainment. What originated as a comic book franchise has evolved into a 2-D animated series with 3-D CGI effects. Already pre-sold in the U.S., the
series is set for a fall 2010 debut on Nicktoons.

In a city divided between old and new, between order and chaos, between truth and lies, the young heroes are given powers they never asked for and are caught in a conflict that started
decades before. With their DNA changed in an instant by the Zevo compound, Jason (Z-Strap), Ellie (Elastika), and
Matt (Kewl Breeze) discover that their superhero status has its ups and downs. What teenager wouldn’t want to have cool super powers? But with those powers
come some very grown-up responsibilities, like battling the evil villain Stankfoot, whose army of genetically altered freaks and monsters threatens their city, their lives, and their world.

BBC Announces U.S. Sale of 3rd & Bird! to Disney Channel

BBC Worldwide announced the U.S. sale of the UK animated preschool series 3rd & Bird! to Disney
Channel for its learning-focused Playhouse Disney programming block. Aimed at 3-5 year old children, the series will premiere in the U.S. in early 2011. Disney Channel has secured broadcasting rights for all 50 x 10-minute episodes of 3rd & Bird! with one double episode, a 20-minute holiday special. The deal
was brokered by Kate Livo, director, TV sales & co-productions for BBC Worldwide.

3rd & Bird! was created by Josh Selig and is produced in London and New York by his company Little Airplane Productions. Each episode is filled with music and songs revolving around the lives of birds-Muffin Lovebird, Samuel, and their friend Rudy-who live, learn, and play in the branches of a majestic tree. Through stories told about diversity, tolerance, or perseverance, the series helps children to develop social skills that are integral to the functioning of a healthy community.

3rd & Bird! has been sold to a total of 17 territories including Canada and Spain and has aired in the
UK since summer 2008. Fisher-Price is the master toy licensee for 3rd & Bird! Under the multi-year master toy license, Fisher-Price has global rights (excluding Asia) to develop preschool, infant, and toddler toys including electronic and non-electronic plastic figurines, toys, vehicles, playsets, and feature and standard plush.

TCKL Appoints Senario as Master Toy Licensee for Drip Drops

Senario and TCKL, Inc., announced a partnership that names Senario as the global master toy licensee for TCKL’s new line of Drip Drops plush and toy sets. Brokered by Firefly Brand Management, this agreement gives Senario exclusive rights to manufacture, market, and sell the full line of Drip Drops toys and learning materials, which will be available in
fall 2010. The line will include deluxe activity sets, mini figures, and playsets, along with soft character plush.

As a multimedia brand, children can also engage with the Drip Drops through an interactive website, www.thedripdrops.com, which features activities, games, the
first animated Drip Drops episode, and more.

Set in Tint Town, the series follows the adventures of the Drip Drops as they carry out their mission of bringing color to the world. The Drip Drops are lovable characters who know everything about color. They come to the rescue when there is “color trouble” explaining why certain colors appear in nature and are always eager to help a friend understand how our vivid and vibrant world works. As a fully integrated brand, the Drip Drops will be featured in several books, cartoon entertainment, a broad range of toys, and an online environment where children can discover the wonders of Tint Town.
