Anchor Bay Gets On Board with Chuggington

Anchor Bay Entertainment announced it has acquired U.S. distribution rights to Ludorum’s Chuggington, the CGI-animated, train-centric series that debuted in the U.S. in January. Chuggington, which airs six days a week on Playhouse Disney, teaches young children valuable social readiness lessons. Anchor Bay Entertainment will begin distributing Chuggington DVDs in early 2011.

Broadcast in 175 territories worldwide, Chuggington follows the fast-paced and humorous adventures of three young trainees-Wilson, Brewster, and Koko-as they learn about life in the train yard and the world beyond. On their quests to become proper “chuggers,” the characters interact with other trains that teach them important social-emotional lessons about friendship, honesty, and more.

Campbell Associates Expands ASPCA Program

Campbell Associates announced that it has aided the ASPCA (The American Society for Prevention of Cruelty to Animals) in adding to and expanding its brand licensing program via a new licensing agreement with Bergan LLC. The ASPCA is also expanding lines with its current licensees Kennel-Aire and Jewett Cameron.

Bergan LLC is bringing its line of pet auto safety products under the umbrella of the ASPCA brand. Bergan, distributors of travel, toys, food storage, and containment pet products, will be adding travel harnesses, barriers, seat covers, feeding supplies, and kits to the ASPCA line and
will be distributing these products through all retail channels.

Jewett Cameron Lumber Corporation has been selling ASPCA backyard kennels exclusively on Walmart.com. The ASPCA is expanding its line to full retail distribution, with ASPCA kennels retailing at Lowe’s and Orsheln.

Kennel-Aire, an exclusive Walmart partner, has re-signed with the ASPCA to continue to sell its ASPCA-branded kennels at Walmart.

The Joester Loria Group Expands Entenmann’s into Toys

The Joester Loria Group, which handles licensing for the Entenmann’s brand, announced that the licensing program for the brand will be extending into toys. The Entenmann’s Donut Maker for Play Set, by Think Wow Toys, is a
donut maker playset that lets kids make their own donuts in the microwave. The set, which will be available this summer, includes a mixing station, donut dough mix, chocolate icing mix, sprinkles, cooking tray, mixing bowl, and instructions. The set makes 12 donuts; refills are available.
