TIF Thanks Industry for Toy Donations on Today Show

The Toy Industry Foundation (TIF) appeared on NBC’s Today Show on November 29 to celebrate the toy companies who donated more than 10,000 toys and games valued at $255,000 to the Today Show’s annual Holiday Toy Drive.

During the televised appearance, Jean Butler, executive director of TIF, shared stories of the toy industry’s generosity with viewers across the nation and talked about the ways in which toy companies are making a difference in the lives of children in need.

“Every toy we receive during the holiday season brings joy to kids who are struggling or feeling alone,” said Butler. “We are deeply thankful for each and every one of our donors for their unwavering commitment to spreading the magical benefits of toys and play during the holidays and all year long!”

The playthings will be delivered to nearly 30 children’s charities, including The Children’s Dream Fund, Coalition for Children’s Christmas Toys, Project Merry Christmas, and Educational and Treatment Council Center. These organizations help children who are homeless, suffering from life-threatening illnesses, living in poverty, or otherwise in need.

TIF thanks the following companies that donated books, electronics, dolls, action figures, arts and crafts, and more to help foster imaginative, non-violent and creative play this holiday season: Aerobie, Alex Brands, Ann Williams Group, International Playthings, Just Pretend Kids, Lulu Jr., Mattel, McClean Enterprises, Monkeying Around, Moose Toys, Spin Master, Sticker Farm, and VTech Toys and LeapFrog.
