Jazwares Signs Deals with Capcom

Jazwares, Inc., has been awarded the toy licenses for Capcom’s Street Fighter and Mega Man video game franchises. Under the terms of the agreement, Jazwares will be the master toy licensee for Mega Man. The Street Fighter license is a category-specific agreement that covers only the categories of boys’ ABS/PVC/vinyl figures and accessories, four-inch and under playsets, and vehicles. The spring Street Fighter 2011 toy line by Jazwares will include all-new 3.75-inch action figures. Available in single packs, double packs, and comic book battle packs, the toys will portray the characters of Street Fighter like no kids or collectors have ever seen before.

A Glee-ful Holiday at Macy’s

Twentieth Century Fox Consumer Products and Macy’s announce additions to their exclusive Glee apparel program available now. The roll out includes all-new extensions to the popular fashion apparel line from Awake, Inc., and also introduces Glee pajama sets.

Awake, Inc., will add holiday flair to its Glee fashion apparel line with new tops in a variety of colors, designs, and embellishments priced from $19.99 –$34.99.

The pajama line includes five different styles of lounge pants, tops, and coordinating sleep masks for $34.99 each.

Trump Licensing Heads to India

Bradford License India (BLI) has teamed up with Donald J. Trump, to introduce the Trump brand to the emerging Indian market. BLI will focus on expanding the Trump brand into apparel, fashion accessories, and home. Trump-branded apparel and accessories convey the success and confidence of Donald Trump while home and lifestyle categories are inspired by his luxury properties around the world. All Trump products will represent “affordable luxury,” the notion that one can live richly without spending a fortune.

Trump’s current licensing portfolio outside of India includes partners such as Phillips-Van Heusen, Marcraft, Swank, Eyewear Designs, Serta, Lexington Home Brands, ELK Lighting, Hallmart Collectibles, IMAX Worldwide Imports, and Rogaska Crystal just to name a few.

MHS Licensing Signs New Artists

The art of Tim Nyberg

MHS Licensing has signed artist Tim Nyberg for a licensing program. Probably best known as one of The Duct Tape Guys, and co-author of Duct Tape books, he paints, writes, draws, and designs. His work ranges from whimsical paintings to abstract and objective photography. MHS Licensing will be initially focused on licensing his range of humorous contemporary images and fine art.

In addition, MHS Licensing announced that it is representing British stationery and product development company, Paper D’Art. They will begin presenting the wide range of imagery at the upcoming 2011 trade shows. Paper D’Art, started in 1985 as a Christmas card company, now produces a wide range of contemporary Christmas and occasional stationery items to the European retail market. For Christmas 2010, they are the featured stationery and card line with their own shop at Harrod’s in London offering cards, paper boxes, wrap, and more. The extensive library is separated into 12 distinct sub-brands such as Santa Land, and Holly Berry, each offering a unique twist on seasonal art. It is available for products ranging from stationery to textiles in the U.S. market.
