TOMY International announced that Julie Gwaltney has been appointed Vice President of the Toy Division. Julie has over 30 years’ experience in the toy industry, most recently holding the position of TOMY International’s Senior Director of Toys. “We are happy to have Julie assume this role and bring her expertise across additional categories,” said Greg Kilrea, President of TOMY International. “Julie works very well with her team, the designers, our licensors, and our industry partners to help find great opportunities for TOMY and make lasting contributions to childhood play.”

TOMY International Launches Limited-Edition Club Mocchi- Mocchi- Giant Plush Featuring Kirby

TOMY International is offering a limited-edition Club Mocchi- Mocchi- Giant Kirby plush, available to pre-order on their newly launched website, TOMY+. Featured in the popular Suya Suya, peacefully sleeping style, the Giant Kirby plush will include the signature, unique Club Mocchi- Mocchi- squishy texture that is super soft to the touch, as well as highly detailed embroidered elements. The Giant Kirby plush will measure 28 inches wide, 35 inches long, 14 inches tall and will weigh approximately 5 pounds. This will be a limited-edition run with only 1,500 pieces available.

TOMY International’s Fat Brain Toys Appoints Jeff Jackson as Executive Vice President

TOMY International announced that Jeff Jackson will be joining Fat Brain Toys as Executive Vice President effective immediately. Building upon their success, Jeff will be working alongside founders Mark and Karen Carson to further their vision for growing the Fat Brain brand. Jeff Jackson joins Fat Brain Toys as a seasoned executive in the toy industry. He has over 25 years of progressive commercial leadership experience in eCommerce, marketing, sales, and strategic brand development. Jackson held several leadership positions during his tenure at Hasbro, where he successfully helped reimagine and grow some of the world’s top toy and entertainment brands. He also served as Senior Vice President of Global Amazon and eCommerce, leading the commercial team’s digital transformation. Before joining Fat Brain Toys, Jackson was the General Manager of Hasbro Canada.

TOMY International Spent Q1 Giving Back to their Communities with Days of Service and Monetary Donations

Throughout the first quarter of this year, employees from TOMY International offices across the US, UK, Europe and Australia volunteered days of service – inspired by Martin Luther King, Jr, National Day of Service and inclusivity ambitions overall. The company has a long history of gathering teams together to support the community and take part in important observances. Across ten offices from Dyersville, Iowa to Exeter in the UK, TOMY International supported causes close to the heart of its employees. In addition to their time, they also provided a monetary donation to each of the charities, as well as other worthy causes, including The Toy Foundation in the US and Toy Trust and Children in Need Day in the UK. In total, TOMY International donated $75,000.

Hasbro Announces Continued Partnership With Takara Tomy and ADK Emotions NY to Launch Beyblade X

Hasbro, Inc, a leading toy and game company, announces that it has renewed its long-standing partnership with TOMY Company, T-Licensing Inc and ADK Emotions NY to launch Beyblade X, the next generation of Beyblade products. Following a July debut in Japan, these much-anticipated Generation 4 products will expand the global launch in Fall 2024, coinciding with the brand’s 25th anniversary.

TOMY International Recognized for two 2023 National Parenting Product Awards (NAPPA)

TOMY International was recently recognized by the National Parenting Product Awards (NAPPA) for two of their new 2023 lines, Bebé Fuerte and Build-A-Buddy. As one of the longest running award programs in the country, NAPPA is recognized as a reliable source of information for parents and professionals seeking the best products for their children and families. Bebé Fuerte, which launched earlier this month at Walmart and independent toy stores, was created and designed by Robin Arzón, VP of Fitness Programming and Head Instructor at Peloton. Designed from a fresh, colorful palette inspired by Arzón’s Cuban-Puerto Rican roots, and the rich heritage of LatinX culture, the line features Spanish words and phrases and is presented in bilingual packaging. Build-A-Buddy, which launched with a single John Deere Tractor over 6 years ago, has been expanded in 2023 to include five items in the line from multiple licenses including, John Deere, Batman and Transformers. TOMY International and NBCUniversal Announce New Collaboration with Crowd-Funded Back to the Future Time Machine Diecast Replica

TOMY has announced a limited-edition diecast model of the original Time Machine that captured hearts and minds from the original Back to the Future movie. The Time Machine replica will be available for pre-order starting July 11th and through August 11th, 2023. The Model is authentically replicated in 1:10 scale measuring 17.40 x 7.80 x 5.48” with diecast metal parts. The interior and exterior LED lights are functional and movie-accurate, with a detailed interior and smoking rear fins. This is the first Time Machine car to be offered at this scale in diecast.
