Hasbro Announces Continued Partnership With Takara Tomy and ADK Emotions NY to Launch Beyblade X

Hasbro, Inc, a leading toy and game company, announces that it has renewed its long-standing partnership with TOMY Company, T-Licensing Inc and ADK Emotions NY to launch Beyblade X, the next generation of Beyblade products. Following a July debut in Japan, these much-anticipated Generation 4 products will expand the global launch in Fall 2024, coinciding with the brand’s 25th anniversary.

TOMY International Debuts Warhammer Plush Characters

TOMY International will introduce a new line of plush in Spring 2024 featuring Games Workshop’s global property, Warhammer. Utilizing core characters from the popular miniatures game, TOMY will produce premium collectible plush for Warhammer 40,000 and Warhammer Age of Sigmar. With extensive diversity of content in the Warhammer franchise, including tabletop miniatures games, video games, and consumer products, TOMY will offer an additional way to engage fans and provide them with the characters they love.

TOMY International Recognized for two 2023 National Parenting Product Awards (NAPPA)

TOMY International was recently recognized by the National Parenting Product Awards (NAPPA) for two of their new 2023 lines, Bebé Fuerte and Build-A-Buddy. As one of the longest running award programs in the country, NAPPA is recognized as a reliable source of information for parents and professionals seeking the best products for their children and families. Bebé Fuerte, which launched earlier this month at Walmart and independent toy stores, was created and designed by Robin Arzón, VP of Fitness Programming and Head Instructor at Peloton. Designed from a fresh, colorful palette inspired by Arzón’s Cuban-Puerto Rican roots, and the rich heritage of LatinX culture, the line features Spanish words and phrases and is presented in bilingual packaging. Build-A-Buddy, which launched with a single John Deere Tractor over 6 years ago, has been expanded in 2023 to include five items in the line from multiple licenses including, John Deere, Batman and Transformers. Nearly all items have received STEAM Accreditation by the Toy Association, in conjunction with Dr. Gummer’s Good Play Guide in the Technology and Engineering categories.

TOMY International and NBCUniversal Announce New Collaboration with Crowd-Funded Back to the Future Time Machine Diecast Replica

TOMY has announced a limited-edition diecast model of the original Time Machine that captured hearts and minds from the original Back to the Future movie. The Time Machine replica will be available for pre-order starting July 11th and through August 11th, 2023. The Model is authentically replicated in 1:10 scale measuring 17.40 x 7.80 x 5.48” with diecast metal parts. The interior and exterior LED lights are functional and movie-accurate, with a detailed interior and smoking rear fins. This is the first Time Machine car to be offered at this scale in diecast.

TOMY International Arrives at Dallas Toy Fair with New Owned Peeky Pops and YumiAmi IPs

TOMY International has introduced two new owned properties, Peeky Pops and YumiAmi, that come available in fall of 2023. YumiAmi, developed in-house by the US brand design team, brings more diversity into the TOMY toy line. The five soft and sweet dolls, who come from varied cultural backgrounds, are designed for children three to five years old and will come packaged with a book and sold as a gift set. In a partnership with Cottage Door Press, each book will be paired with their respective doll and promote learning about and embracing each other’s cultures. The line, available in July of 2023, was designed with the toy specialty channel in mind and will retail for $29.99 a set.

TOMY Australia and Create a Castle Ink Distribution Deal

TOTY award-winning Create A Castle has signed an agreement with TOMY Australia in which the firm’s line of innovative sand castle construction sets will be distributed in Australia for the upcoming Christmas season. “We’re excited to be partnering with the team at Create A Castle, especially since building sand castles is one of the iconic pastimes for so many Australian parents and their children,” stated Mark Robertson, Managing Director, TOMY Australia, “and the unique attractions of their range of products will help create even more fun and memorable moments as they build professional looking sand castles with these detailed sculpting playsets.”

TOMY International Announces Leadership Changes

TOMY has announced several key leadership changes to position them for expanded global growth. Pete Henseler is moving to the role of non-operating Chairman of the TOMY International Board. In his new capacity, Pete will remain a key advisor to TOMY International. Pete’s career spans over 40 years in the children’s consumer products industry at companies like Hasbro, McDonald’s and RC2. For the last 26 years Pete has been in various executive management roles at TOMY. In addition to his numerous business contributions, Pete also served as a board member for the Toy Industry Association for 3 terms, as well as Board Chairman of the Toy Industry Foundation.
