King Features Syndicate, a unit of Hearst and home to some of the world’s most popular entertainment characters, announced that it is growing its global licensing programs for Popeye and Olive Oyl with a slate of new innovative partnerships. The expansion extends across the promotions, food and beverage categories and includes new territories, partners and product lines that honor the legacy of King Features’ classic characters from the extensive Popeye universe, including Olive Oyl and Wimpy.

ZAG Signs Global Licensing Deal with PMI for Pop Culture Phenomenon Miraculous

Award-winning independent animation studio ZAG has signed a global licensing agreement with Tel Aviv based PMI for a line of collectibles, impulse, stationery and school supplies for the global hit series Miraculous – Tales of Ladybug and Cat Noir.  The new merchandise is scheduled to debut at retail in Summer 2022. The announcement was made by Julian Zag, EVP, Global Operations and Head of Consumer Products, ZAG.

Spotify, Moonbug Develop Exclusive and Original Content Fit for Families and Audio Enthusiasts

Spotify (NYSE: SPOT) has announced an exclusive multi-year agreement featuring some of the most beloved voices within the kids’ entertainment space. Through this initiative, Spotify will partner with CoComelon, the #1 kids channel on YouTube which garners over 4.2 billion views per month, produced by Moonbug Entertainment for a new podcast, CoComelon Storytime. The show will be followed by a mix of other original and exclusive “homegrown” shows, including Gardenkeeper Gus, 100 Cinderellas, and Deep Blue Sea. This colorful array of exciting new content will be available to parents on the main Spotify app within the Family and Kids Hub, as well as on the Spotify Kids app, exclusive to Spotify Premium Family subscribers.
