HBO Max and Cartoon Network Orders Up More Care Bears: Unlock the Magic for Cartoonito

Cloudco Entertainment, owner of iconic entertainment brand Care Bears, is pleased to announce that its newest 2D animated incarnation of The Care Bears – Care Bears: Unlock the Magic – has started production on six new 22-minute specials for the Cartoonito preschool block on HBO Max and Cartoon Network. Simultaneously, season 1 of Care Bears: Unlock the Magic (48 x 11’ + 2 x 22’) has been extended into early 2027 for the linear and streaming platforms.

Mattel Partners with HBO Max, Cartoon Network on Two Live-Action American Girl Specials

Mattel, Incorporated announced that it is partnering with HBO Max and Cartoon Network on a pair of new live-action American Girl specials based on the hit doll and book line. The first special, American Girl: Corinne Tan (wt), focuses on the brand’s 2022 Girl of the Year of the same name. Produced by MarVista Entertainment, a Fox Entertainment Company, American Girl: Corinne Tan will premiere this December on Cartoon Network and the following day on HBO Max. A second American Girl special will follow in 2023.

Cartoon Saloon Brand Development Signs Premium Stationary Deal with Paperblanks

Cartoon Saloon, a world renowned animation studio with five Academy Award and two Golden Globe nominations and many award wins including BAFTA and Emmy announces a licensing deal with leading premium stationery suppler Paperblanks, based on its Irish Folklore Trilogy, Academy Award-nominated features WolfWalkers, Song of the Sea and The Secret of Kells. The new Irish Folklore Trilogy range will be developed by Paperblanks in close partnership with Cartoon Saloon. The range will comprise of Journals, Book Marks, Canvas Bags and Puzzles and will be distributed through Paperblanks global distribution network with additional details to be announced.

‘Barney’s World’ Coming to Max and Cartoonito in 2024

Warner Bros Discovery announced that it has picked up the new CG-animated series Barney’s World for Cartoonito on Cartoon Network and streaming on Max. The series, announced earlier this year as part of Mattel’s Barney franchise relaunch, will aptly be titled “Barney’s World” and will revamp the iconic character for modern audiences. Co-produced by Mattel Television and Corus Entertainment’s Nelvana, “Barney’s World” will debut globally in 2024.

Corus Entertainment Revamps Kids Channel Portfolio with Rebranded Networks

Following the recent launch of TELETOON+ as Canada’s leading, multi-platform streaming service for kids, Corus Entertainment has announced the rebranding of two of its linear kids’ television channels as it continues to evolve its offering of best-in-class kids content. Beginning March 27, TELETOON is set to become Cartoon Network, an iconic kids brand known worldwide for delivering the biggest and best in animation. Corus also introduces a new kids television channel in Canada by relaunching the current Cartoon Network channel as Boomerang. Debuting in the Canadian market for the first time, but bringing with it scores of fans worldwide, the Boomerang brand stands for the best in retro content, classic animation series and foundational kids programming.
