Shop Your Favorite TV Shows

Delivery Agent, creating shopping-enabled entertainment for more than 350 of the world’s leading global media brands, announced a partnership with Samsung Electronics Co., Ltd., that will offer Samsung Smart TV owners the ability to interact with their programming in a new way: to shop the shows they are watching.

For example, while watching New Girl on Fox, viewers can purchase clothing and accessories that character Jess wears during the episode by either clicking the remote while watching the program (viewers will receive unobtrusive messages that this option exists) or by navigating to the application marketplace and accessing the “Shop the Shows” app, which is available 24/7 to Samsung Smart TV users.

Built by Delivery Agent, this commerce shopping platform taps into Delivery Agent’s proprietary database of products mapped to television content—from established partners including 20th Century Fox Consumer Products and Showtime amongst more than 350 media brands—in order to present the right products at the right time. The new application allows fans to easily shop within the programs they are watching and is planning to launch in 2013.

Pac-Man in Burger King Promo

41 Entertainment announced that it has entered into a global kids promotion with Burger King Worldwide, Inc., for the Pac-Man and the Ghostly Adventures property worldwide. The television series is slated to begin broadcast in fall 2013. The promotion is scheduled to begin in January 2014 and run for six to eight weeks in company-owned and participating franchised Burger King restaurants. Guests who purchase a BK Kids Meal at participating restaurants will receive one of six themed toys with their meal.

Kids Preferred Acquires Bunnies by the Bay

Kids Preferred, LLC acquired Bunnies by the Bay, a luxury line of toys, apparel, and books. Terms of the agreement were not disclosed.

Bunnies by the Bay has been touted by Oprah Winfrey, who gave coats as baby gifts to both Gwyneth Paltrow and Julia Roberts, was made even more famous when Angelina Jolie’s daughter Zahara wore the original Cuddle Coat and Suri Cruise was known to wear the Flipper Slippers.

The company was founded by sisters Krystal Kirkpatrick and Suzanne Knutson as a healing hobby after their dad, uncle, cousin, and 11 others were lost at sea in a fishing boat accident in Alaska in 1983, one of the worst commercial fishing disasters in U.S. history. When they lost their brother in another boating accident three years later, their grandmother, Elsa Attaberry, encouraged them to focus on bringing delight to others as a way to reaffirm joy in their own lives, inspiring the company’s creation.

Kids Preferred says that the Bunnies by the Bay founders and senior staff will all remain with the company in their current roles. Kids Preferred is dedicated to maintaining a long-term partnership and focus on product integrity as well as product expansion.
