Subway Station Now Open Near NYC’s Javits Center
Travel to the Jacob Javits Convention Center just got a bit easier for next month’s Toy Fair in New York City. A 34th Street-Hudson Yards Station opened in September. Here is some information about the new station from the MTA. One-way fare is $2.75 and you’ll need a MetroCard.
ToyFest West 2016; Offer to Attend EDexpo
As announced previously by the Western Toy and Hobby Representatives Association (WTHRA),ToyFest West is three full days in March 2016. Taking place in Las Vegas from March 6–8 at the South Point Hotel, Casino and Spa, the show will include WTHRA’s Sunday Night Gala on March 6, celebrating industry leaders. This year’s Retailer of the Year is Cheeky Monkey from Menlo Park, Calif. The 2016 Hall of Fame inductees include Bernice Baird, John Hansen Jr., John Hansen, Mark Philips, and Dennis Daniello. The Gala will be longer than in previous years with dancing added at the end of the evening.
Game Night will take place on Monday, March 7 from 6:30–9:30pm. Participants will enjoy pizza and beer while learning about some of the new games on the market. In addition, evening shuttles to the Las Vegas Strip will be provided on Monday and Tuesday night.
This year the show is offering attendees the opportunity to make the most of their travels to Las Vegas. The EDexpo show will be taking place at the Westgate Las Vegas Resort & Casino, adjacent to the Las Vegas Convention Center, beginning on March 9.
