In the last year, toy industry startup, CreateOn, has released nearly 15 building sets in partnership with Magna-Tiles. Now, in response to the global COVID-19 health crisis, the company has rapidly developed and released two new Luminary Magna-Tiles sets in honor of the frontline healthcare heroes of the Coronavirus crisis. The sets are designed to engage kids in a family-friendly construction activity that honors healthcare workers during luminary-lighting traditions emerging across the country.
“Several of our team members have family working on the frontlines of the global health crisis,” said Steve Rosen, co-founder of CreateOn. “We were lighting our luminary outside recently when we realized that CreateOn had everything needed to develop this incredibly engaging way for families to come together in a play experience that also supports our healthcare heroes.”
CreateOn will donate 20-percent of all proceeds from the Luminary Magna-Tiles line to the Global Empowerment Mission‘s BSTRONG efforts to provide personal protective equipment to people and hospitals across the nation. The group has committed to servicing up to 250 hospitals nationwide.
CreateOn Luminary Magna-Tiles are vividly colored in the style of stained-glass windows featuring common healthcare symbols, and can be illuminated from within by a battery-powered light. Sets include an eight-piece set of three-inch tiles ($25) and a five-piece set of six-inch tiles ($35). The Luminary Magna-Tiles are compatible with all other Magna-Tiles, and the two sets can be combined to create an extra-large luminary. Customers can add a battery-powered light to their order upon checking out at CreateOn.com. Free shipping is available with the purchase of any two sets including Magna-Tiles Structures sets and storybook sets featuring characters and storylines from the World of Eric Carle.
