Character Arts, LLC, the exclusive licensor for Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer and all of the iconic characters from the beloved television special of the same name, announced that it has entered into an expanded licensing partnership with Ruz USA. Under the new agreement, Ruz, a Rudolph licensee since 2016 for a broad variety of consumer products that was expanded to include ornaments in 2022, will create and distribute a brand-new range of Rudolph plush products set to hit shelves for the 2025 holiday season, including standard and animatronic plush.

“We are enthusiastic about expanding our partnership with Ruz and anticipate a very successful new line of plush,” says Director of Licensing at Character Arts, Danielle Flom. “Ruz has built its reputation creating some of the most creative and modern plush formats in the market, and we are looking forward to working with them on an exciting new refresh for our Rudolph line.”

The new direction Ruz will provide for Rudolph plush and other characters highlights the importance of innovation in the high demand plush product category. Ruz will also create and distribute a variety of other must-have products including home and tabletop décor, novelty items, and seasonal items. Additional new products currently in development include trains, PVC figurines, porch greeters, costumes, and more.

“Rudolph is a cornerstone property for the holiday season. With plush as an integral category, we will be able to offer retailers a well-rounded program,” says Howard Krotman, CEO, Ruz USA. “We value our relationship with Character Arts and are looking forward to building upon our already strong existing partnership.”

This year, “Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer” is celebrating its 60th year on television as the longest running and most-watched holiday TV special of all time. Celebrations of this milestone anniversary will take place across all retail channels and at holiday events held at resorts and theme parks across the nation. A national touring stage show now in its 10th year, Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer: The Musical, will add to the celebratory fun.
