Glee Comes to Macy’s

Twentieth Century Fox Consumer Products and Macy’s announced the launch of an exclusive Glee apparel line based on the popular TV show. The apparel line from Awake, Inc., features a line including T-shirts, fashion tops, and hoodies priced from $19.99–$34.99.

Macy’s will translate the show into fully-branded retail destinations with in-store vignettes. Each will include a JAGTAG promotion where consumers can unlock mobile content. Outside of the store, Macy’s will roll out a creative window design display program in select stores across the country. The crown jewels of the window program will appear at select retail locations including Herald Square, NY; Union Square, CA; State Street, IL; Miami Dadeland, FL; South Coast Plaza, Orange County and the Beverly Center in Los Angeles. These locations will feature multiple Glee-themed window designs highlighting key scenes from the series and wardrobe from the show. The Beverly Center will also be home to a special fan event on August 21 from 2:00-4:00 P.M. with stars from the show.

TRU Pairs with LittleMissMatched

Toys “R” Us, Inc., announced that it has teamed up with LittleMissMatched to bring an exclusive assortment of baby apparel, accessories, bedding, room décor, and nursery furniture to Babies “R” Us stores nationwide. This expands the company’s relationship with LittleMissMatched, which brought lifestyle products for kids and tweens into Toys “R” Us stores last fall.

Now, Babies “R” Us is offering a differentiated collection of mix-and-match baby products, co-developed by the merchandising teams at Babies “R” Us and LittleMissMatched.

T-shirts: It’s What You Crave

Licensing Link announced the signing of Fortune Fashions for the White Castle brand. Fortune Fashions will produce a line of men’s, women’s, boys’ and girls’ T-shirts. The line is expected to be at mass retailers this fall.

Licensing Link is currently seeking opportunities for White Castle in accessories, food extension, novelty/toy, and home categories.

Breakfast at Tiffany’s 50th Anniversary

Culturenik is commemorating the 50th anniversary in 2011 of the film Breakfast at Tiffany’s with a range of Breakfast at Tiffany’s 50th anniversary products. The line is expected to include boxed gift mugs, journals, bookmarks, postcard sets, glitter prints, and magnet and notecard sets.

Rebecca Bonbon Debuts Across Europe

FremantleMedia Enterprises and the Leomil Group announced a new deal to launch Rebecca Bonbon footwear and apparel throughout major European territories. The Japanese character Rebecca Bonbon was created by the original Hello Kitty designer Yuko Shimizu.

Rebecca Bonbon has more than 50 licensees across numerous product categories in Japan. This month the brand launched across the U.S. and Canada in both Sears and Kmart, covering a variety of key categories.

The first collection from the Leomil Group, in both footwear and apparel, is targeted at kids and tweens and will be available for winter 2011 across Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Benelux, and France.

Existing Rebecca Bonbon products in France include bags, stationery, back to school, bed linens, accessories, and apparel. European licensees include French company Alpa which is producing more than 60,000 branded products; Italian company Manifatture Zotti for apparel; German company Trend Import; and UK stationery company Blueprint. FME acquired rights to the brand from Crown Creative and represents the brand globally (excluding Japan, Korea, and China).
