Henson Awards Uncle Milton Dinosaur Train License

The Jim Henson Company and Uncle Milton Industries announced a multi-year licensing agreement for Uncle Milton to develop science-themed educational toys based on the animated children’s series, Dinosaur Train. The Uncle Milton licensed product line will launch in North America in the spring of 2011 and in the UK, Spain, France, and Australia in fall of 2011.

Blue Planet Software Teams with Licensing Works

Blue Planet Software, Inc., the exclusive licensing agent for Tetris, announced that it has teamed with licensing agency Licensing Works! to launch a new merchandise licensing program that will allow manufacturers and promotional partners to put the Tetris brand to work for their consumer products. Blue Planet Software and Licensing Works! will focus on developing innovative ways of applying new Tetris color and logic systems to consumer products for every lifestyle. Licensees will be able to benefit from the innovative creative resource team that has brought the Tetris brand to life across many interactive venues.

Marvel Expands Deal with Feld Motor Sports

Marvel Entertainment announced that it has expanded its partnership with Feld Motor Sports to include new products featuring the Iron Man and Spider-Man custom-designed monster trucks that perform on the worldwide Monster Jam tour. The expanded partnership includes die-cast replicas of the Marvel monster trucks, at various scales, from Monster Jam’s die-cast toy partner Mattel. Feld Motor Sports also has category rights to produce trading cards, posters, calendars, and other toys featuring replica images of Marvel touring trucks. Product will be launching at major retailers in the U.S. and Canada in early 2011. The expanded partnership also includes co-branded apparel, which will be launching for holiday 2010.

Cartoon Network and MEGA Brands Partner for Generator Rex

Cartoon Network Enterprises and MEGA Brands announced that they have entered into a global licensing agreement to develop construction toys based on the new boys action series, Generator Rex. The global partnership marks the first time the two companies have partnered on product development, and will bring a full line of toys to international markets through a three-year agreement. MEGA Brands’ Generator Rex construction toy line is scheduled to launch in the construction toy aisles in the U.S. in fall 2011, and will roll out in additional territories thereafter.

Interactive Toy Signs Medal of Honor Deal

Toronto-based toy manufacturer Interactive Toy Concepts announced a partnership with Electronic Arts to produce an interactive radio-control product line based on the Medal of Honor video game series. The line will consist of full-function R/C vehicles that can simulate the Medal of Honor game play and maintains the realist aesthetic of the series. Players can take control of R/C ground and air vehicles and replay campaigns and battle objectives with each vehicle interacting with one another. The line is expected to be released in the fall of 2011.
