Storypod will release a range of Daniel Tiger’s Neighborhood products this year in time for the 2021 holiday season.
Storypod recently announced a deal with Fred Rogers Productions and its licensing agent 9 Story Brands for a product line based on the animated preschool show, which airs on PBS Kids.
Earlier this month, Storypod also announced a multi-property marketing agreement with PBS Kids; Daniel Tiger’s Neighborhood is planned as the first release in its upcoming edutainment content lineup.
A bilingual, screenless audio edutainment platform for kids, Storypod launched following a crowdfunded Kickstarter campaign and is now moving into licensed toys. The Daniel Tiger’s Neighborhood program will offer a Daniel Tiger-themed versions of its anchor “Craftie” toy as well as learning cards and branded sleeves.
“Daniel Tiger’s Neighborhood is beloved by kids and parents alike for exciting adventures and value-based stories that captivate children while teaching them important life lessons,” said Daniel Buelhoff, Co-founder of Storypod. “Developing content in partnership with this legacy brand is a dream of ours and furthers our foundational vision to create immersive learning products.”
“We’re excited to be among the first licensed brands to partner with Storypod,” said Paul Siefken, President and CEO, Fred Rogers Productions. “We’re always looking for partners that provide a fresh experience for Daniel Tiger fans, and Storypod does just that. With this system, children get to experience the fun of Daniel Tiger’s Neighborhood stories in new ways.”
“We are delighted to continue to connect with partners for Daniel Tiger’s Neighborhood that align with the core values of the show and take the characters beyond the screen,” said Kyra Halperin, Co-VP, Consumer Products for 9 Story Brands. “Storypod’s educational audio learning platform will spark imagination and creativity in fans across the U.S. and beyond.”
