MGM officially kicked off its “Legally Blonde Turns 21″ initiative to celebrate the 21st anniversary of the feature film in 2022.
The campaign consists of merchandise and interactive entertainment celebrating Legally Blonde and its themes of empowerment, education, humor, and pink fashion.
The franchise is also set to return to the big screen, with Reese Witherspoon reprising her role as Elle Woods in Legally Blonde 3, co-written by Mindy Kaling and Dan Goor.
Current license partners on board for the program include Jerry Leigh of California for costumes and apparel; Park Agencies for apparel and hats; Poetic Brands for pajamas, loungewear, and clothing; Sport Zone S.A. & GNCO Global Company Limited for apparel, socks, and hats; Olympia Le Tan for bags and clutches; Solent Brands limited for home decor, health and beauty, stationery, and cellphone cases; Funk for vinyl figures; PlaySide Studios for mobile gaming; and TCG Entertainment for a concert series.
