The MGM consumer products division unveiled new merchandise for Candyman, which recently hit $50 million ticket sales worldwide.
Throughout the year fans can find Candyman licensed products from partners including Funko, YouTooz, Lootcrate, Just Funky, and Middle of Beyond for collectibles, novelty, and gifts. Lootcrate and Middle of Beyond will also produce apparel and accessories, along with additional MGM partners Goodie Two Sleeves, Cavity Colors, and Fright Rags. Additionally, licensed costumes will be available from Trick or Treat Studios.
“Whether fans are rediscovering horror titles from deep within MGM’s library, or are new to the genre altogether, we are thrilled to be expanding our Candyman merchandise to give consumers exciting new products to keep the spookiness going all year long,” said Robert Marick, executive vice president of global consumer products and experiences for MGM.
Candyman, a contemporary reimagining of the 1992 cult classic of the same name, was written and produced by Academy Award-winner Jordan Peele and directed by Nia DeCosta. It’s one of several properties that comprise MGM’s horror portfolio, along with Killer Clowns, Carrie, Poltergeist, and Silence of the Lambs.
