Ring Pop Appoints LMA to Develop Licensing Program

Ring Pop-LMA

Lisa Marks Associates will represent licensing for Bazooka Candy Brands’ Ring Pop.

Starting in Q4 of 2021, LMA will roll out a North American licensing program across the categories of toy and games, digital games, apparel and accessories, gifts, novelties, collectibles, pet products, stationery, party goods, home decor, personal care, frozen novelties, beverages, and more.

Last year, Bazooka Candy Brands appointed LMA as licensing agency for its Bazooka bubble gum brand to build a merchandise program spanning toys and collectibles, apparel and accessories, home decor, sporting goods, and sports nutrition.

“Having worked with LMA over the past year to develop and launch the exciting Bazooka Licensing Program, we are thrilled to extend the relationship to now include Ring Pop,” said Bazooka Candy Brands senior marketing director Becky Silberfarb. “After almost 45 years in market as a family-favorite treat, the power of the Ring Pop brand continues to grow. We know there are a great amount of licensing opportunities across categories for Ring Pop to inspire more fun and memorable ways for fans to connect with our brand.”

The Topps Company — confectionary, sports cards, and collectibles manufacturer and parent company to Bazooka Candy Brands — introduced Ring Pop in 1977. The gem-shaped hard candy on a wearable ring gained attention via a television campaign throughout the 1980s.

“We love working with the talented Bazooka Candy Brands team and are excited to partner with them and bring to life the many creative facets of the storied Ring Pop brand,” said LMA president Lisa Marks, adding that the candy “is a pop-culture icon enjoyed by all. The uniquely fun and playful aspects of this brand lend itself to endless creative licensing opportunities that brand fans will love.”
