Cyber Group-MFF-Press Start

Two Cyber Group Studios productions are getting licensing programs.

This week, Cyber Group appointed Retail Monster to handle strategic licensing for its shows The McFire Family and Press Start!

“We’re delighted to be working with the licensing and merchandising experts at Retail Monster on both The McFire Family and Press Start!,” said Cyber Group Studios chairman and CEO Pierre Sissmann.

The McFire Family is an original production, for viewers ages 6 to 9, centered on a family of firefighters whose ancestors were the first firefighters in history. Sissman is the creator of the show.

Based on a Scholastic book series of the same name, Press Start! follows a brother and sister duo who discover a special game controller that allows them to enter the world of their favorite video game. Created by Scott Kraft, the show is aimed at children 4 to 7.

The McFire Family and Press Start! are very engaging new series and we’re excited to be working with Cyber Group Studios to build best-in-class licensing programs that will resonate with kids and their families across the U.S.,” said Michael Connolly, Retail Monster’s founder and CEO. “We expect to make partnership announcements very soon.”

Headquartered in Paris, Cyber Group Studios — the company behind preschool series Gigantosaurus and the newly announced Yum-Yum —operates two production studios in France and an office in Los Angeles. Cyber Group Studios USA is headed by president and CEO Karen K. Miller.

“Retail Monster has a proven track record of success in developing meter-moving consumer products programs, and we look forward to partnering with them to help establish and broaden the opportunities for these two new standout brands,” Miller said.

Retail Monster leads licensing for a number of children and family brands, including recently Herschend Entertainment’s  Harlem Globetrotters franchise, as well as the series Karma’s World from 9 Story Media Group.
