Messner Named President, CEO of Summer Infant
Summer Infant, Inc., announced that Mark Messner has been appointed president and CEO, effective July 13, 2016. Robert Stebenne, Summer Infant’s current president and CEO, will remain a member of the company’s board of directors.
The company says that Messner brings strong leadership and marketing experience in the juvenile products’ space to Summer Infant. Most recently he served as CEO of Artsana USA, Inc., (Chicco). In this role he oversaw finance, operations, marketing, e-commerce, product development, and sales for the United States and Canada. Messner joined Artsana USA in 2003 as vice-president of marketing and product development and served as its COO for three years before taking over as CEO in 2012. He began his career with Graco Children’s Products in 1991.
Chizick Elected to Canadian Toy Assoc. Board
Harold Chizick, president of ChizComm Ltd., was elected to the board of directors for the Canadian Toy Association (CTA) at the annual General Meeting on June 29, 2016, in Toronto.
Chizick, a toy industry expert, offers the CTA nearly 20 years of marketing knowledge and solid communication experience to his newly elected role. He has served on a number of Toy Industry Association (TIA) committees in addition to having spent four years as one of the official spokespersons for the CTA. Previous to the creation of ChizComm Ltd., Chizick held the title of vice-president of marketing services at Spin Master and vice-president of marketing at MEGA Brands.
