SABIC, a global leader in the chemicals industry, has announced a collaboration with Mattel, a leading global toy company, to incorporate certified renewable polymers from SABIC’s TRUCIRCLE program across Mattel’s product offering. The first Mattel toy products to enter the market in 2022 using certified renewable SABIC PP (polypropylene) polymers will be from MEGA and Matchbox, with more to follow.

After this year’s earlier cancellation and the announcement of rescheduling and a potential move, The Toy Association has just announced that New York Toy Fair will not be changing locations in 2023. The next New York Toy Fair will take place at long-time NYTF host Javits Center from Saturday, September 30th to Tuesday, October 3rd 2023. During the conference call, the Toy Association also stated that they have entered a multi-year commitment with the Javits Center through 2025.

Mattel (NASDAQ: MAT) announced that it has entered into a multi-year global licensing agreement with Universal Brand Development for DreamWorks Animation’s Trolls. The vibrant and joyful animated franchise — teeming with big hearts, hair-raising comedic adventures and award-winning music — Trolls has become one of the most recognized family entertainment brands in the world. Through the agreement, Mattel has the licensing rights to develop a full line of toys for the franchise, including dolls, vehicles, plush, games and more. The collection is expected to launch at retailers around the world in fall 2023. An all-new Trolls film hits theaters in November 2023.
EnchantedMob and PhatMojo have announced their agreement for the hugely-popular game, Poppy Playtime. Under the global deal, PhatMojo will serve EnchantedMob, Inc. as its master toy partner and will manage consumer products licensing for the rapidly-growing Poppy Playtime franchise. Toys and other products will be available this summer.
