MGA Entertainment, Inc. (MGAE) announced its plans to release new content starring L.O.L Surprise!
“Our L.O.L Surprise! fans are consistently looking for new ways to engage with the brand, and we are focused this year on delivering a slate of new content that our fans’ around the world will enjoy and will shake up entertainment and content the way L.O.L Surprise! and Na! Na! Na! Surprise shook up toys,” said Isaac Larian, CEO and Founder of MGA Entertainment.
Bringing the dolls’ personalities to life through content has been a key driver to capturing fans’ imaginations of play and expression. Since its December 2016 online launch, which debuted with Stop Motion Unboxing videos on YouTube followed by a series called Unboxed!, L.O.L Surprise! has continued to engage and entertain fans with content that has amassed a following of more than 1.5 million subscribers and garnered more than 537+ million views around the world.
Larian added, “Team MGAE is already establishing exciting new ways to reach fans and this is just the beginning.”
New L.O.L. Surprise! content was specially produced for theaters and cinemas, reaching international audiences. The United Kingdom kicked off the showcase in August 2019. Last month the content reached Middle East cinemas, and in the coming weeks will debut in Turkey and Australia. Poland and Italy are primed for a Q2 2020 release, and more countries are soon to be announced. The L.O.L Surprise! Winter Disco movie, which launched on Amazon Prime, will have a big screen debut in 50 Aeon Cinemas throughout Japan.
