Toys”R”Us Canada announced Stay-at-Home Play, an initiative designed to help families stay engaged and connected while school is out. The plans include Stay-at-Home Play packs, the launch of the “Wash Your Hands Challenge” (a dance-along and scrub-along song on TikTok), as well as videos on YouTube to keep kids entertained at home.

The Stay-at-Home Play Packs include: The “R” Family Fun Play Pack, available exclusively online, for kids of all ages that includes a combination of art, sensory, building, and gaming experiences. For kids 4 and up, there is the “R” Big Imaginations Play Pack with crafts, building, and sensory play activities. The “R” Little Hands Play Pack offers creative activities for kids 1 to 4 years old. Toys”R”Us Canada will release more exclusive Play Packs across a variety of price points.

Written and produced by Toys”R”Us Canada, the “Wash your Hands Challenge” has officially launched on TikTok to share an important message and make hand washing fun. Toys”R”Us Canada hopes to encourage families to have a dance and wash-along on their own.

Launching next week, Toy”R”Us Canada will start releasing YouTube videos featuring mascot Geoffrey, who will share a variety of free child and family play ideas from unboxings to interactive games and DIY activities.

“We hope to help make this time at home a little easier for Canadian families,” said Vic Bertrand, President & CEO of Toys”R”Us Canada. “It’s important to see this COVID-19 crisis through the eyes of a child and remember that play and having fun together is more important than ever.”
