Award-winning global animation studio ZAG has partnered with Afterverse, creators of the immensely popular free to play metaverse PK XD, for a new in-game collaboration featuring the characters from the global hit TV series Miraculous – Tales of Ladybug and Cat Noir.
Now in its fifth season, Miraculous – Tales of Ladybug and Cat Noir, is scoring top ratings in more than 120 countries around the globe across multiple traditional media outlets and streaming platforms; and the US$100 million+ animated feature, Ladybug and Cat Noir: The Movie, will launch this year. With broad appeal across age demographics, Miraculous has become a digital planetary craze with over 33 billion views on YouTube (authorized and user-generated content).
Over one billion minutes of PK XD: Fun, Friends and Games have been played since it launched in September 2019, achieving the rank of top #5 game in Latin America, reflecting the Brazilian DNA and the largest market.
The new partnership will deliver exciting new gameplay inside PK XD and boost users’ creativity to roleplay the adventures of superheroes Ladybug and Cat Noir in the metaverse. Two mini-games and numerous avatar characterizations are included in the experience.
