New Miraculous Movie Volkswagen e-Beetle from Playmates Toys Launches Summer 2023

Miraculous Ladybug fashion dolls and a vehicle inspired by the highly anticipated animated feature Miraculous: Ladybug & Cat Noir, The Movie, will debut this summer from Playmates Toys and ZAG. The product rollout is timed to coincide with the film’s release on Netflix on July 28, 2023, and theatrically in France, Germany, China, Belgium, Switzerland, Poland and the Eastern Europe region, Russia, Greece, Turkey, and IsraëlPlaymates Toys and ZAG continue their mission to deliver quality and engaging Miraculous toys and dolls. The line includes the Ladybug and Cat Noir fashion dolls; a limited-edition Marinette Grand Ball collector doll; and Marinette’s brand-new Volkswagen e-Beetle, inspired by her electric concept car which will be making its first appearance in the movie, alongside other vehicles in the Volkswagen ID. family!

 

Directed by Jeremy Zag and produced by ZAG and Mediawan Kids & Family, Miraculous: Ladybug & Cat Noir, The Movie, shares the origin story of two teens who stumble upon an ancient power and discover miraculous new destinies. The film is a beautiful exploration of friendship, identity, and what it means to be a hero.

The 10.5-inch Ladybug fashion doll is a stunning take on Ladybug’s iconic outfit and a dramatic new doll design to match her movie look. Her super suit is complete with removable shoes and a movie exclusive yoyo design. With 15 points of articulation, Ladybug is ready to swing onto the big screen with the perfect paw-tner! The 11-inch Cat Noir action doll sports new gear and an updated outfit to match his movie makeover. Cat Noir has 15 points of articulation, wears his signature battle boots and wields his signature staff accessory. Each is priced at $16.99, or in a two-pack giftset for $34.99, and available at most toy retailers.

The limited-edition Movie Marinette at the Grand Ball collector doll dazzles at 10.5 inches tall with 15 points of articulation. Marinette’s ball gown reimagines her red-and-black-spotted outfit with glittering tulle and satin layers that complement organza wing details. Her signature blue hair is styled in an updo with a Parisian fascinator that matches her delicate pink eye shadow. The magical look is completed with ballet slippers in glittery pink, removable Miraculous earrings, and a removable mask.  Presented in a collector display package, the Marinette Miraculous Movie Doll is priced at $29.99.

Making its official debut in Miraculous: Ladybug & Cat Noir, The Movie, the new Miraculous Volkswagen e-Beetle seats two heroes and up to five kwamis. Swing open the butterfly doors to drive through Paris with Ladybug or flip open the sunroof to gaze at the glittering night lights.
