Inventor of Loaded Questions Hits the Road with The Mid-Life Crisis Tour

Loaded Questions

Veteran independent game company All Things Equal announces The Mid-Life Crisis Tour to launch Loaded Questions Greatest Hits and celebrate the 26th anniversary of the popular family and party game. Kicking-off in September 2023, inventor Eric Poses will set out on a 20-state tour, proving life is just a game with the brand that started it all – Loaded Questions.

Growing up in Miami in the 1980s, Poses spent countless hours watching game shows, playing board games, and gamifying mundane activities to make them more enjoyable. In fact, games run in Eric’s blood – his mom’s family is the “Todman” of Goodson-Todman Productions, creators of The Price Is Right, Family Feud and Card Sharks. So, it wasn’t a stretch in 1997, at the age of 23, Poses founded All Things Equal and parlayed his love for games into Loaded Questions, a family and party game that tests players on how well they know each other with hundreds of fun, creative questions. Poses drove around the country for 16 weeks selling the game out of the trunk of his car. Eric was a young entrepreneur, with no business education and no smartphone, but a relentless drive to make his board game a household name.

Now, that dream has become a reality. With millions of games sold and more than $30 million in retail sales, Poses has launched the commemorative Loaded Questions Greatest Hits edition to mark the game’s 26th anniversary and he is hitting the road (again) on a milestone adventure aptly dubbed The Mid-Life Crisis Tour.

Beginning September 6th, Poses will drive around the country in a custom Sprinter van, to make appearances, hand out free products, and host ‘Meet the Inventor Game Nights’ at retail stores, game cafes, colleges, the 2023 New York Toy Fair and more!

“The road offers me a chance to connect with people – a concept that is at the heart of Loaded Questions and all the other games I develop,” said Poses. “As I creep toward the age of 50, this trip is about tapping into the wide-eyed youth and entrepreneurial spirit that defined my initial time on the road with Loaded Questions.”

The nod to Loaded Questions’ 26th anniversary comes in the wake of last year’s  pandemic-induced global supply chain crisis, when production and shipping issues caused Poses to delay the launch of the Greatest Hits edition.

“My plan to recreate the 1997 road trip with the launch of a 25th Anniversary edition hit a snag that most suppliers were not immune to,” said Poses. “It was a setback, but well worth the wait.” This fall, Loaded Questions Greatest Hits will launch at more than 3,000 retail locations, including Target, Amazon and Barnes & Noble.
