Grace: a storytelling company, Josh Wakely’s production outfit, has partnered with Round Room to produce Beat Bugs Live!, a live musical based on Wakely’s Beatles-inspired animated series on Netflix.

Round Room, an Entertainment One (eOne) company, will take the family-friendly musical out on a multi-city tour, kicking off in the U.S. in spring 2020.

Beat Bugs Live! will follow the show’s five lovable bugs — Jay, Crick, Kumi, Walter and Buzz — as they adventure together in an overgrown backyard, overcoming challenges and learning valuable life lessons with the help of one another and those they meet along the way. Just like in the series, the stage production will weave iconic songs made famous by The Beatles, including “Come Together,” “Hey Jude,” “Here Comes the Sun,” “Blackbird” and “All You Need is Love” into the narrative.

“Our goal is to create a Beatles concert experience for kids, while transporting the audience to another world,” said Stephen Shaw, co-president of Round Room. “We’re delighted to be entrusted with bringing to life Josh’s incredible vision with Beat Bugs Live!”

Beat Bugs Live! is slated to visit more than 80 U.S. and Canadian markets in spring 2020. Pre-sale tickets go on sale this fall. Fans are encouraged to sign up now at in order to get to the front of the line for pre-sale tickets when the tour goes on sale this fall.

In addition to producting and promoting the PJ Masks Live! show, New York-based Round Room has specialized in the production and promotion of live family entertainment, arena shows, concert tours, theatrical performances and touring exhibitions including Mandela: The Official Exhibition, The Rolling Stones Exhibitionism, The Thank You Canada Tour and kids tours including Yo Gabba Gabba Live and Rudolph The Red Nosed Reindeer Live.

The third season of Beat Bugs premiered on Netflix in late 2018.
