DinoCity Heads to New Channels Globally

APC Kids, the children’s entertainment division of co-production and distribution company APC, has secured a raft of international sales for its new preschool series DinoCity, produced by Riki Group in partnership with Animax Production animation studio.

The list of deals sees new partners for the 2D animated series signed across Europe and MENA, including: Piwi+ (Canal+ Group, France) and MBC (MENA) taking pay TV rights, along with ERT (Greece) and Ketnet (Flemish Belgium) securing free TV rights. APC Kids has also licensed the exclusive free TV rights and non-exclusive SVOD rights to Menart in the Balkans (Slovenia, Croatia, Bosnia & Herzegovina, Macedonia).

These new partners join previous sales, which include SPTN’s Tiny Pop (UK, Ireland) picking up exclusive TV rights and set to premiere on April 2nd, 2021, Italy’s DeA Kids, taking exclusive pay TV rights, pubcaster YLE, which has secured TV rights for Finland, and Canal+ in Poland where the series launched last month on Minimini+.

DinoCity is an original preschool series created by Riki Group, in partnership with Animax Production animation studio, which portrays a family of dinosaurs in an urban setting. The show centers on Little Ricky and his older sister Tyra who turn everyday situations into new games and adventures, as their parents join in on the playfulness.

APC Kids co-invested in the production of the 52 x 5’ international version of the series and holds exclusive distribution rights in all territories excluding Russia, CIS and China.
