Grateful Dead, Tucker Rocky in Deal

Grateful Dead Productions and Rhino Entertainment announce a new relationship with Tucker Rocky Distributing. River Road, a Tucker Rocky brand, will create and market apparel and accessories for the Powersports industry using Grateful Dead artwork and will introduce the first collection at the Indianapolis Dealer Expo, February 17–19.

Orb Factory to Introduce VeggieTales Line

The Orb Factory Limited and Big Idea Entertainment announced last week that they have partnered to introduce the VeggieTales collection of craft kits. Children will use peel-and-stick sparkling foam and jewel tiles to create educational crafts featuring their favorite characters.

Kids will be able to create jewelry boxes or use repositionable stickers for lockers, notebooks, mirrors, and more.

Jenga to Become Video Slot Machine

Dimensional Branding Group (DBG) announced last week that its client Jenga, one of the world’s most recognizable board games, has been licensed to International Game Technology, a leader in casino gaming, to develop a new Jenga video slot machine. The agreement was brokered by DBG, representing Pokonobe Associates, the licensor of Jenga.

Actress Valerie Bertinelli has recently launched a line of women’s apparel, accessories, and home fashions. With more than 35 categories, the VB brand is available in stores nationwide.

Eco lifestyle expert Danny Seo, brings his unique designs for the home to retailers nationwide. The Eco-Existence line features manufacturing technologies that are environmentally friendly and is set to expand into more than 30 home design categories in 2012.

Actress Holly Robinson Peete announced the launch of her line of women’s and children’s fashion and accessories available in stores nationwide beginning this spring.

Actor, Kellan Lutz has teamed up with denim brand Dylan George to design a ready-to-wear menswear line, Abbot + Main; a Venice Beach-inspired 25-piece collection of T-shirts and knitwear at Nordstrom and specialty stores throughout North America.

Dr. Lisa Masterson of the TV series The Doctors will be launching a line of fitness equipment with Lifeline USA along with ergonomically correct footwear from Therafit for introduction in fall 2012 at mass and specialty retailers nationwide. She will also debut a complimentary fitness DVD series.

Following the successful fall 2011 launch of online social network Stardoll into children’s apparel and accessories at JCPenney stores, the brand will expand into an additional 100 stores this spring with a further expansion into cosmetics and additional accessories categories.

The site also launched eight fashion dolls for this past holiday in partnership with Mattel with fashion accessories and play sets. Additional dolls planned for fall 2012.
