PJB Brands, Versace 19.69 Abbigliamento Sportivo in Deal

PJB Brands has been appointed by the Italian fashion brand Versace 19.69 Abbigliamento Sportivo to bring the brand to new licensing partners and to establish agents for the brand in new territories. Versace 19.69 Abbigliamento Sportivo has already built a strong design and production operation in categories ranging such as apparel, accessories, and jewelery at accessible price points. Now PJB will introduce the brand to key markets such as the U.S., the UK, Russia, Japan, Brazil, and Mexico, as well as to new categories, building on the high level of global awareness of the Versace 19.69 Abbigliamento Sportivo name.

The company Versace 19.69 Abbigliamento Sportivo was established in Milan by Alessandro Versace in 2001. PJB, a highly respected name in the European licensing business with broad experience in brand management across both diverse regions and diverse categories, has been appointed to bring the Versace 19.69 Abbigliamento Sportivo brand to markets.

DreamWorks Signs ELC for Russia, Eastern Europe

DreamWorks Animation SKG, Inc., announced that beginning February 1, 2013, the European Licensing Company (ELC) will act as their consumer products licensing agent in Russia and Eastern Europe. ELC will represent upcoming DreamWorks Animation properties for merchandise, retail, and publishing. These include the theatrical releases of Turbo in July 2013 and How to Train Your Dragon 2 in Summer 2014, ongoing TV series Penguins of Madagascar, Kung Fu Panda: Legends of Awesomeness and DreamWorks Dragons: Riders of Berk and DreamWorks Animation’s franchise properties of Shrek, Kung Fu Panda, Madagascar, How to Train Your Dragon and Puss in Boots.

IDW to Publish The X-Files Comics

IDW Publishing and Twentieth Century Fox Consumer Products announce a partnership to publish a series of works based on The X-Files. IDW’s publishing plan includes reprinting collections of classic issues published intermittently from 1995 through 2009, as well as creating brand-new X-Files comics to launch in June 2013.

New Licensees for Trash Pack

Moose Toys announces new licensees in the amusement and vending category that will be joining The Trash Pack licensed merchandise program in the U.S and Canadian markets. The new deals were brokered by The Licensing Shop, Inc., and include Toy Factory with amusement plush, pillows, rubber balls, and novelty hats. All Star Vending will make vending machine stickers, temporary tattoos, toys, and novelty items.

These licensees will join previously announced partners such as Activision (video games), Parragon Books Ltd. (master publishing), Pressman Toys (games, puzzles), Candyrific (candy, chocolates), Accessory Innovations (bags, lunch bags, and luggage), Mad Engine (T-shirts), Rasta Imposta (Halloween costumes), Pioneer Balloons, Bulls I Toys (impulse novelty), SGI Apparel (sleepwear), and Xtreme Worldwide, Inc. (apparel).

Animal Planet 2014 Calendars

Discovery Communications announced a new agreement with Browntrout Publishers, Inc., for an Animal Planet-branded 2014 calendar line for the U.S. and Canada. The new line is the latest addition to a robust assortment of Animal Planet lifestyle and pet product offerings. The deal with Browntrout Publishers, Inc., for the calendar line was brokered on behalf of Animal Planet by its licensing agent, The Joester Loria Group, for the U.S. market.
