National Premier Soccer League Signs Mitre

The National Premier Soccer League (NPSL) announced that Mitre will provide the league with match balls for the next three years as the league’s Official Match Ball Sponsor. Hedstrom, is the U.S. licensee for the Mitre brand in balls, shinguards, goal keeper gloves and coaches accessories.

Internationally, Mitre sponsors The English Football League, the Scottish Premier League, and The Football Association of Wales. Mitre is the official ball of the Capital One Cup in England. Mitre also sponsors Chelsea goalkeeper Mark Schwarzer.

Domo Pet Products

Big Tent Entertainment announced that it has signed a licensing agreement with Kelly Toy for a line of Domo-licensed pet products. The line is expected to be at retail in late 2014.

The new deal will offer pet toys (plush, rope/pull toys, and balls), pet beds, and pet T-shirts featuring Domo. Products will be available throughout the U.S. and Canada in pet stores and wherever pet supplies are sold. The deal continues Big Tent Entertainment’s relationship with Kelly Toy who currently manufactures and distributes Domo-branded plush for the amusement industry.

Animal Planet Pet Products

Discovery Communications announced a partnership with pet manufacturer G Mason Group to create a new line of Animal Planet pet travel accessories, expanding the brand’s presence within the pet space.

The initial product launch will include car seat covers and car booster seats, along with kennel and crate mats that will feature memory foam, orthopedic foam, and tough chew fabrications. The line will continue to grow with soft-sided pet carriers, back seat barriers, back seat nets, and anti-anxiety travel calming jackets.

The new line will be available nationwide at a variety of retailers including department store, mid-tier, and specialty chains, as well as warehouse membership club and independent specialty stores. Items are scheduled to debut in stores summer 2014.

NECA, Planet of the Apes Deal

NECA announced a partnership with Twentieth Century Fox Consumer Products for a new merchandise program based on the property Planet of the Apes. The deal is set to include new products based on the upcoming film Dawn of the Planet of the Apes as well as the classic movies. The program will include a wide assortment of collectible products such as action figures, giftware, apparel, accessories, and more.

The new product lines will be made available to coincide with the release of Dawn of the Planet of the Apes, which is set for release May 23, 2014.

Riedel to Make Coca-Cola GlassesRiedel

The Coca-Cola Company and Riedel Glass have partnered for the company’s first line of glasses for a non-alcoholic beverage. The glass line was inspired by the original Coca-Cola Contour bottle, one of the most recognized packages on the planet, patented nearly 100 years ago, in 1915.
