Firefly Secures Zoltar’s Future with New Deals

Firefly Brand Management has signed new licensing partners for Characters Unlimited. Inc.’s most popular character “Zoltar” the magical talking Fortune Teller Machine, adding New Wave Toys LLC and Things 3D Ltd. Pinza to its expanding list of licensees for the highly popular and nostalgic brand.
New Wave Toys will produce scale model working replica of the Zoltar Speaks Fortune Teller Machine and virtual game publisher, Things 3D Ltd, will produce an App called Pinza available Fall 2020.
New Wave and Things 3D Ltd., join a raft of additional partners secured by Firefly Brand Management that include: Goodie Two Sleeves (men’s and women’s T-shirts, sweatshirts, fashion tops, and hoodies); Aquarius Entertainment (talking key chains, playing cards, tin fun boxes, funky chunky magnets and mugs; Running Press (mini Zoltar talking bobble-head kit with spiral bound mini book) Everi (slot machines & online social slots and real money wagering gaming) McSteven’s Inc (powered drink mixes); JY Style/Ooh Yeah Socks (socks); Golden Bell Studios (board games and card games); Star Cutouts (cardboard standees); Soxnet, Inc. (adult/childrens/infant socks, headwear, tights, scarves, legwarmers, mittens, fleece infant booties, infant non-skid socks; FUNKO (stylized pop figures); Gamestar Interactive, Inc. (social games on-demand).
In 2006, Characters Unlimited trademarked Zoltar Speaks®. The animatronic Zoltar fortune telling machine can now be found in hundreds of locations around the world including arcades, attractions, theme parks, gift shops, and homes. Through inspiring fortunes, simple animatronics, and a wholesome, fun brand, Zoltar provides amusement for all ages. Zoltar® has remained relevant with appearances in many prominent television and movie placements including Limitless, Family Guy (unauthorized use), The Bachelor, The Late Late Show with James Corden, Step Up 3, and Big Brother UK. The famous machine has also been used in advertising with Liberty Mutual commercials, Onnit’s Black Friday commercial with Lance Armstrong and Zoltar, Toyota, SUBWAY Canada, Nathan’s Famous Hot Dogs, Mike’s Hard Lemonade, Motorola, Credit Karma and Sprint. The mysterious Zoltar® has also become more social lately— when people get their fortunes told, they take a picture with Zoltar® and share with friends on social networks like Facebook and Instagram. With tens of thousands of photos with the #Zoltar on Instagram alone, the brand certainly has a following.
