TIA Names Kaufman SVP of Technical Affairs

The Toy Industry Association (TIA) announced the appointment of industry veteran Alan P. Kaufman as senior vice-president, technical affairs. In this newly created position, Kaufman will lead the continuing development and implementation of technical policies and strategies relating to toy safety, the environment, supply chain issues, factory processes, and other related matters.

Kaufman comes to TIA from his role as vice-president for global product safety and regulatory affairs at Toys “R” Us, Inc. Previously, he spent more than a decade directing production, sourcing, and technical services within The Walt Disney Company and its affiliated companies. Earlier in his career, he held technical and production positions at a number of toy manufacturers, including Mattel, Knickerbocker, and Coleco.

A graduate of UCLA with a degree in biology and organic chemistry, Kaufman will be based in the TIA’s New York City office.

Ginsey Home Solutions Makes Sales & Development Appointments

Ginsey Home Solutions (GHS) has made a number of business development and sales appointments. GHS, which represents a number of licenses and is a worldwide multi-channel supplier of bathroom and home products for the entire family, including pets, has named Allen Robinson as vice-president of new business development, Bridget Crozier as vice-president of sales, and Guy Conte as senior vice-president of sales.

Robinson joins the company with more than 20 years experience. Most recently, Robinson spent three years in mergers and acquisitions/business development. Crozier, an employee with Ginsey Home Solutions for 14 years, has been promoted to vice-president of sales after serving the roles of controller and director of IT. Conte joined the company in 2009 after sales and strategic planning positions at The Evercare Company, Coca-Cola, and Procter & Gamble.
