Luner Promoted at Fremantle
FremantleMedia North America (FMNA) has promoted David Luner to president, brand partnerships and franchise management. Luner will oversee all of FMNA’s ancillary businesses including digital brand partnerships, sponsorship and integrated marketing, licensing, live events, and various elements of business development. The appointment was announced by Thom Beers, CEO, FremantleMedia North America to whom Luner reports.
Luner had assumed the interim role of executive vice-president, brand partnerships and franchise management during the integration of FremantleMedia Enterprises (FME), the previous ancillary rights group, into the FMNA corporate structure. Over the past decade, Luner has held a number of positions within FremantleMedia.
eOne Hired Gatto
Entertainment One Licensing (eOne) announced that Anita Gatto has joined the company’s Pop Culture & Lifestyle division in the newly created role of vice-president of marketing, based in eOne’s Calabasas office.
Gatto will develop and implement marketing, public relations, and brand management strategies for eOne Licensing’s lifestyle and pop culture properties. She will oversee the division’s marketing efforts across multiple channels to ensure longterm opportunities, with particular focus on creating platforms for global retail programs in the U.S.
Gatto joins eOne with over a decade of global experience in marketing lifestyle brands including Tommy Hilfiger, John Varvatos, Chip and Pepper, and Robert Graham. Gatto also founded New City PR, a boutique firm specializing fashion and entertainment brands.
In June 2013 Entertainment One acquired brand and licensing agency Art Impressions (now eOne Licensing, Pop Culture & Lifestyle), which is based in Calabasas, Calif.
