Moose Toys Plans to Create More Licensing ‘Magic’ with Magic Mixies and The Legend of Akedo

Moose Toys, a leading innovator in the toy industry, has found ‘magic’ in the licensing of its popular brands, and it is poised to do so again with Magic Mixies Mixlings, a new collectible line based on global sales phenom Magic Mixies Magic Cauldron and The Legend of Akedo, an action-packed line of collectibles that represents the toymaker’s biggest boys’ brand launch to date. WildBrain CPLG, licensing agency for the two brands, will be hosting the toymaker at its booth (#E154) during the Licensing Show in Las Vegas, May 24-26, 2022, for vendors interested in partnering with the brands. WildBrain CPLG represents Magic Mixies Mixlings in the U.S. and Canada from its dedicated North America office; the company has the global licensing rights for The Legend of Akedo.

Spin Master Expands Its Toy Invention Program into Europe at Kingston University in London

Spin Master Corp (TSX: TOY), a leading global children’s entertainment company has teamed up with Kingston University in London, expanding its Toy Invention Program into Europe. Commencing September 2022, the one-year course series will be offered through Kingston University’s School of Arts faculty and aims to inspire and nurture future generations of toy inventors.

Next New York Toy Fair to Take Place Sept 30th – Oct 3rd 2023

After this year’s earlier cancellation and the announcement of rescheduling and a potential move, The Toy Association has just announced that New York Toy Fair will not be changing locations in 2023. The next New York Toy Fair will take place at long-time NYTF host Javits Center from Saturday, September 30th to Tuesday, October 3rd 2023. During the conference call, the Toy Association also stated that they have entered a multi-year commitment with the Javits Center through 2025. 

People of Play Announce Quarterly Education Webinars to Keep Toy Industry Marketing and PR Pros on Top of Trends

People of Play has announced its first series of quarterly educational webinars targeting industry marketing and PR pros. The first session will be April 21st from 1pmET -4pmET; the session will kick-off with a keynote speaker (TBA) followed by break-out sessions on topics requested by attendees. Topics have been vetted from both agency and brand view point. The session will end with networking in the virtual POP Pub.

Toys For Tots Announces 2021 Campaign Results

Toys for Tots, the U.S. Marine Corps’ premiere community action program, distributed an unprecedented 22.4 million toys, books, and games to nearly 8.8 million children in need in 2021. While the affects of the pandemic continued to create challenges, Toys for Tots provided record breaking support to families and children in times of need.
