Confused about intellectual property and how to go about protecting your idea or your product? Worried it’s going to cost you a ‘fortune’? Not sure if you’ll understand all the legal lingo?

These and other questions will be answered at this year’s Toy Fair New York, during an interactive game show hosted by law firm Wynne Jones IP. “Play Your Cards Right,” taking place on Sunday, February 17, at 1 p.m. in the Creative Factor Theater (Hall 1D Lobby), will put the audience’s IP knowledge to the test. The session is a part of the show’s expanded Creative Factor educational programming and free to all Toy Fair registrants.

“As Toy Fair’s first-ever game show, we are very excited for this interactive experience that is sure to be an engaging way to bring entrepreneurs, inventors, designers, and artists up to speed on all things IP-related,” says Marian Bossard, executive vice-president of global market events at The Toy Association. “Don’t miss this fun-filled hour where you will also learn valuable knowledge on how to protect your IP.”

Guided by a new Advisory Board, show organizers have enhanced the Creative Factor programming specifically tailored to the toy inventor and designer community. Toy Fair registrants are invited to participate in a full schedule of free pitch sessions, roundtables, presentations, workshops, and panels focused on helping the creative community succeed. Sessions will be held throughout the four days in the Creative Factor Theater (Hall 1D Lobby). In addition, toy manufacturers are invited to hear product pitches from select inventors and designers during The Toy Association’s inaugural “CF@TF Inventor Day,” taking place on Friday, February 15.

Toy Fair New York will take place February 16 to 19 at the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center.
