As the wave of ‘90s trends and pop culture nostalgia surges on, there’s no better time for American Girl to honor this dial-up decade with a story set in the flannel and music capital of the 1990s, Seattle, WA!
Written by real-life identical twins, Julia DeVillers and Jennifer Roy, Isabel and Nicki are busy preparing for the new millennium and working on a Y2K countdown list. Although these fraternal twins share the same birthday (of course they’re Geminis), that’s pretty much where the similarities end. Isabel is bubbly, extroverted, and very into pop music. Nicki is thoughtful, introverted, and passionate about skateboarding. Throughout their stories each twin discovers more about who they are as individuals, while also learning to lift each other up as they face their fears and express their inner Girl Power!
