The deadline is approaching for the toy community to submit their nominations for the 2025 Toy Industry Hall of Fame, the highest honor bestowed upon individuals in the industry. Nominations may be submitted online through Friday, June 7.
Consideration for the Hall of Fame is open to living individuals who have made outstanding contributions and/or provided impactful service to the toy industry and The Toy Association throughout their careers. Candidates may be nominated by any stakeholder in the toy industry (Toy Association membership is not required); however, voting to select the 2025 inductees is restricted to members only. If a candidate was nominated for consideration to be inducted in 2023 but was not selected, the nomination will carry forward for one additional year. Carried over candidates do not require re-nomination. Click here to see the list of candidates that will automatically be carried over for 2025.
In addition, the Hall of Fame Subcommittee on Posthumous Selection will nominate up to five candidates for induction to be reviewed and approved by the Toy Industry Hall of Fame Committee. The subcommittee will research suitable candidates, keeping an eye for diversity in company, area of contribution, ethnicity, gender, and lasting impact on the industry, and will review any individuals that have been brought forth to the subcommittee for consideration.
The Toy Industry Hall of Fame was established in 1984, and every year since, members of the industry have proudly nominated hundreds of people who have made their mark on the industry and created a love of play in the hearts of children of all ages. All past inductees can be viewed on The Toy Association website.
The 2025 inductees will be honored at the annual Toy of the Year (TOTY) Awards on Friday, February 28, 2025.
