Story Time Chess has been awarded a Webby in the Games: Family & Kids category. Aiming to teach chess to young children, the game utilizes stories, illustrations, and custom pieces and board. These supporting materials help communicate the rules of chess to children ages three and up in a way that’s fun and simple.
Since the game’s launch last year, it has been named a People’s Choice Toy of the Year (TOTY) and nominated for ASTRA’s Best Toys for Kids 2021.
The Webby Awards, dedicated to the internet industry, held its 25th annual show this year virtually. All nominees were eligible to win a Webby Award, selected by the Academy, and the Webby People’s Voice Award, voted on by Internet fans around the world.
The Webbys is presented by the International Academy of Digital Arts and Sciences (IADAS) — a 2,000+ member judging body. The Academy is composed of executive members including internet experts, business figures, and creative celebrities and associate members who are former Webby Winners, Nominees and other internet professionals.
