Jakks Signs Deals for Winx and Monsuno

Jakks Pacific, Inc., has signed Funtastic Limited to market and distribute the Winx Club toy line in Australia. Jakks’ Winx Club product line is scheduled to launch in the U.S., Australia, North America, Latin America, and the UK in fall 2012 to coincide with the premiere of the new CG episodes of Winx Club on Nickelodeon and will span multiple categories, including dolls, playsets, roleplay, dress-up, and Halloween costumes.

Jakks also announced that it has signed an agreement with Planet Fun for Monsuno for the New Zealand territory and Prima Toys for the South African territory.

Planet Fun for New Zealand and Prima Toys for South Africa join the roster of international distributors for Monsuno toys, which also includes the Giochi Preziosi Group for Europe and Hunter Products for Australia.

WBCP Signs Wonder Forge for Games

Wonder Forge announced that it has signed an agreement with Warner Bros. Consumer Products for licensing rights to DC Super Friends and Justice League properties. The multi-year agreement includes tabletop game development in the U.S. and Canada, beginning with the launch of DC Super Friends games in fall 2012, and following with a line of Justice League games in 2013.

Each tabletop game will feature favorite DC Comics characters such as Superman, Batman, Green Lantern, Wonder Woman, and The Flash. DC Super Friends games will be tailored to preschool-age children, while Justice League games will be designed for kids ages 8 and up.

Douglas Company to Offer Clifford Plush

Douglas Company signed a licensing agreement with Scholastic Media, to produce Clifford The Big Red Dog plush products.

Clifford will celebrate its 50th anniversary in 2012 with a new live show, A BIG Family Musical, which debuts next year. The new line will target specialty toy and gift stores in the U.S. and Canada in 2012.
