Toys ‘R’ Us Spain & Portugal Optimize with Openbravo


Toys “R” Us Spain & Portugal teams up with Openbravo, a global provider for a cloud-based omnichannel platforms, to improve the user experience and enable more agile and innovative retail.


After a four-month implementation period, the toy retailer has implemented Openbravo Commerce Cloud across all its locations, which thus far has resulted in IT cost reductions and a faster omnichannel retail.


The launch of its new e-commerce site, which, in addition to a provider a cleaner and more functional design, includes services such as Click & Collect and home delivery of toys in stock in just three hours, according to the company.


Paulo Sousa Marquez, CEO of Toys “R” Us Iberia said, “Now that this technology has been implemented in all our stores, we are impressed with the capacity of the Openbravo POS, which has allowed us to greatly simplify our processes. This has been key for enabling us to make all our stores operational in just four months.”

New Motto, New Chapter


With a new motto, “Forbidden NOT to touch!”, Toys “R” Us Spain & Portugal is working toward more visual and experiential spaces that encourage shoppers to get hands on and test the toys on display.


The company has also introduced new services such as the Academy space, in-store birthday parties, YouTuber meet-and-greets, and the launch of the brand’s YouTube channel.
