MGAE Hires Ratna Kirpal as VP, Global Licensing

MGA Entertainment has appointed Ratna Kirpal as its new vice-president of global licensing.

 

In her role, Kirpal will drive strategic development and growth of MGAE’s portfolio offerings, and will report directly to its CEO, Isaac Larian.

 

As vice-president , Kirpal will create an aggressive growth strategy by collaborating with partners cross-divisionally and externally to enhance efforts that further expand the reach of the MGAE brands, including new category growth and collaborations with the MGAE retail, promotions and experiences divisions.

licensing division is experiencing incredible growth with several key MGAE brands including L.O.L. Surprise!, Poopsie Surprise, Little Tikes, and more; and I’m confident with Ratna’s background our licensing group will deliver exciting products to retail that will continue to grow brand affinity among our customers.”

 

With more than two decades of experience, Kirpal is an accomplished global licensing executive. For the past 14 years at Disney, Kirpal drove the success of many key licensing initiatives. She was effective in matrix-influencing global commercialization strategy and direction, and worked collaboratively with product development, creative, retail, finance and legal teams globally to achieve aggressive growth goals.

 

“MGAE is delivering ground-breaking IP that has essentially shaken up the toy industry and retailer aisles,” said Kirpal. “While only days in my new position, I have already initiated an ‘open for business’ approach that includes collaborating with our existing licensees to deliver smart, creative and original licensing programs.
