New PBS KIDS Series, Work It Out Wombats!, Premieres February 6, 2023

At the Television Critics Association Press Tour, PBS KIDS announced the premiere date for Work it Out Wombats!, a new animated series for kids ages 3-6 produced by GBH Kids and Pipeline Studios, starring a playful trio of marsupial siblings—Malik, Zadie and Zeke—who live with their grandmother, Super, in their treehouse apartment complex. Work it Out Wombats! will introduce computational thinking concepts that will help young viewers solve meaningful problems, learn flexible thinking and how to express themselves—all while using the practices and processes at the core of computer science. The new series will debut on PBS KIDS February 6, 2023.

It’s ‘Greenlight, Go!’ for Boy Girl Dog Cat Mouse Cheese Season 3

Cloudco Entertainment in the United States, in conjunction with co-production partners, Watchnext Media in France and Kavaleer Productions in Ireland, are pleased to announce the greenlight and production commencement of Season 3 of their animated hit comedy series Boy Girl Dog Cat Mouse Cheese. Season 3’s additional 52 x 11’ episodes have been commissioned by the French television network Gulli while simultaneously ordered by the BBC in the UK, KidsME (the Chindrel Content Factory of De Agostini Group) in Italy, and Ireland’s RTE. This latest order will bring the total number of 11’ animated episodes to 156.

Mattel, Incorporated has announced that its all-new animated children’s series Deepa & Anoop will debut on Netflix on August 16, 2022. Created by acclaimed Bollywood animator Munjal Shroff (Shortcut Safari), accomplished writer Lisa Goldman (Dragon Tales), and award-winning producer Heather Kenyon (Doki Adventures), Deepa & Anoop is Mattel Television’s first original series based on original intellectual property.

WildBrain Captures Global Distribution Rights to Harpercollins Productions’ Carmen Sandiego

WildBrain, a global leader in kids’ and family entertainment, is extending its longstanding partnership with HarperCollins Productions to include exclusive linear broadcast distribution rights, on a worldwide basis, for the publisher’s Emmy Award-winning action-adventure animated series, Carmen Sandiego. Under the deal, WildBrain has been appointed to distribute seasons one–four (33 x 30’ total) of the hit series, which was originally produced for Netflix by HarperCollins Productions and WildBrain’s animation studio in Vancouver. WildBrain has already secured deals for all four seasons of Carmen Sandiego with Disney for its linear broadcast channels in Japan and France.

Bluey Season Three Premieres August 10th on Disney+

Bluey, the Emmy Award-winning sensation that has won over families worldwide, will make its Season Three debut on August 10th on Disney+ in the U.S. and around the world. Created and written by Joe Brumm and produced by the multiple Emmy Award-winning Ludo Studio for the Australian Broadcasting Corporation and BBC Studios, the new season of the breakout hit series will be split into two parts. The first features 25 seven-minute stories that will bring even more hilariously relatable everyday moments of family life to audiences everywhere. These episodes will also arrive on Disney Channel and Disney Junior later this year in territories around the world. The second half of Season Three will be available on these same platforms at a later date.
