The NFL and Rovio Entertainment are joining forces to bring fans a unique experience around the Super Bowl.

Within Angry Birds 2, mobile gamers and football fans can outfit their flocks with a choice of any of the 32 official NFL jerseys and helmets to compete in brand new Super Bowl-themed game levels as well as in-game competitions.

The Angry Birds Evolution Super Bowl LII events unveils 32 NFL characters into the game, and players have the chance to get an exclusive new bird character called the Quarterback, who will be outfitted in an NFL team jersey. In Player Versus Player mode, The Oinktagon, gets a complete Super Bowl LII makeover as it is transformed into a football field.

The new Angry Birds Super Bowl LII in-game features are brought to life with console quality graphics, highlighting all 32 team uniforms and logos. The NFL in-game graphics are special, limited-time experiences found within the Angry Birds franchise.

Dorel Juvenile, a segment of Dorel Industries announced the arrival of the Rachel Zoe x Quinny and Maxi-Cosi Luxe Sport Collection.

The collection, now available at Nordstrom, includes the Quinny Zapp Flex Plus, the Maxi-Cosi Mico Max 30, Maxi-Cosi Pria 85 Max, and a Quinny Diaper Bag.

Designed with the modern active mom in mind, the Luxe Sport collection merges functionality with Zoe’s style and glamour.​ Classic black and white fabric with netted detailing provides a sporty look against metallic champagne accents.​ A black, white, and champagne pinstripe completes the look.

“As a designer, it’s extremely important to me that mom’s don’t feel that they have to sacrifice style for convenience,” said Rachel Zoe. “What I love about this collection is that it provides the best of luxury while still being extremely practical. The Rachel Zoe x Quinny and Maxi-Cosi Luxe Sport Collection, retailing in the US from $199 to $499, is available now for purchase at Nordstrom.com and in select Nordstrom stores. The rollout will follow in select retailers in early March.

ZAG announced two new global licensing partners for Miraculous, Tales of Ladybug & Cat Noir in the collectibles category, Funko and PEZ.

Funko is releasing a trio of collectible POP! stylized vinyl figures of the most popular Miraculous characters: superhero duo Ladybug with Tikki and Cat Noir with Plagg, along with their antagonist, super villain Hawk Moth. Beginning in May, the products will be available on-shelf worldwide (excluding Japan, China, and Korea).

PEZ will create the Miraculous, Tales of Ladybug & Cat Noir heroes in its PEZ candy dispenser configuration. The pair are anticipated to hit retail shelves worldwide starting in August 2018 in France, Spain, U.K., Italy, Germany, and more (excluding U.S. and Canada). The PEZ agreement was brokered by Team! License, ZAG’s licensing agent in Germany.

Fireman Sam, Bob the Builder Ink New Distribution Deals

DHX Media and Mattel Creations, the content creation division of Mattel, have inked numerous international deals for the latest seasons of the preschool series Fireman Sam and Bob the Builder spanning linear broadcast, VOD, home entertainment, and theatrical.

Building on DHX Media and Mattel’s strategic partnership to drive growth in some of their most popular kids’ brands, broadcast deals for season 11 of Fireman Sam were struck with France Télévisions for its France 5 channel; Hop! Media Group (Israel); and MiniMini+, part of Canal+ International (Poland). In home entertainment, rights for season 11 were signed to Universal Home Video (France), ABC Commercial (Australia), and justbridge (Germany and Austria), with theatrical rights for the new season going to Pathé Live (France).

Season three of Bob the Builder was picked up for broadcast by SuperRTL (Germany); Télé-Québec (Canada); Hop! Media Group (Israel); and MiniMini+, part of Canal+ International (Poland). ABC Commercial also picked up home entertainment and SVOD rights to season three for Australia.

Lazy Oaf Launches Betty Boop Collection

Lazy Oaf has teamed up with classic cartoon character Betty Boop for a 15-piece men’s and women’s collection in signature Betty shades: Betty Boop Red by Pantone and black and pink. The announcement was made by Hearst-owned King Features, the exclusive worldwide licensing agent for Betty Boop proprietor Fleischer Studios.

The Lazy Oaf design team raided the archives to find unique Betty artwork such as Betty perched on a crescent moon, a design first used on a 1985 hot air balloon in the Macy’s Parade. Further inspiration came from Betty Boop classic character memorabilia, vintage Americana Betty leather jackets, and 1980s and 90s streetwear references. The Betty Boop x Lazy Oaf collection mixes Betty’s trademark look with streetwear silhouettes and signature oversized Oaf shapes. Its three-piece menswear offering focuses on her cult biker following with Betty riding a motorcycle on a pink hoodie. Womenswear pieces include skinny ‘Pin Up Jeans’ with bow-back slits and pink embroidery heart pockets, plus an oversized heart print denim jacket with matching ’90s mom jeans. Two complementary accessories include a pin badge and patent tote bag with showgirl chenille patch.

Deer Little Forest Names U.S. Licensing Agent

Koko Rose Media has appointed The Lantic Group as its licensing agent for Deer Little Forest in the U.S.

The company will be tasked with creating brand awareness in the U.S., developing a licensed publishing strategy as a basis for ancillary activities across toys, stationery, apparel, arts & crafts. and more.

The Lantic Group is a brand-building specialist headed up by industry veteran Jonathan Symington, former vice-president and general manager of Global Entertainment Licensing at Disney Consumer Products.
